On March 13, 2025, Missouri S&T student Alex Touami exemplified extraordinary bravery. Witnessing a pedestrian struck by a semi-truck on Interstate 44, Alex sprinted into oncoming traffic to pull the injured individual to safety. His decisive actions ensured timely emergency care, preventing further harm. A junior in Chemical Engineering and Sigma Phi Epsilon member, Alex’s heroism earned him the Missouri S&T Police Lifesaving Award. On April 15, he was honored by Chancellor Mo Dehghani and Chief Doug Roberts at the SigEp chapter house, celebrating his courage as a model of leadership and selflessness.
Thank you Brother Touami for being an exemplary SigEp!
